CEO & Founder
Zane Rambaran has worked in the live entertainment, theatre, festival and hospitality sectors since 1987.
He began his career in London’s West End and regional theatres, holding senior ticketing and management positions. During this period, he gained extensive experience in venue operations, ticketing systems and audience development. From 2001 to 2006, Zane served as Head of Ticketing at Festival Republic (formerly The Mean Fiddler), overseeing ticketing operations for major UK festivals and live events. Between 2006 and 2016, Zane held senior roles including Director of Touring at AEG Live and Robomagic Live, managing international touring productions and large-scale event logistics. During this time, he was also Managing Director of The Workers Beer Company, overseeing bar and concession operations at major UK and European festivals.
Zane founded Horizon Festival in Bulgaria, a destination music and arts festival combining performance, travel and mountain-based activities. During the pandemic, he developed Sing Eat Retreat, a residential performance and travel programme combining musical theatre workshops, shared dining experiences and destination-based stays. The first retreats took place in 2024. The company delivered 18 events in 2025, expanded to 22 events in 2026, and is planning 40+ events in 2027.
Sing Eat Retreat works with experienced West End directors, musical directors and leading performers to guide participants through structured rehearsals and performance development within a supportive environment. The programme is designed to give guests the opportunity to train and perform at a professional standard while on holiday, creating immersive experiences that combine learning, collaboration and shared performance moments. The emphasis is on participation, community and creating meaningful memories within a fully immersive residential setting.
